Rose Garden

I don't have a headboard, so I went ahead and made one! Rose Garden was inspired by the community flower garden I pass during my morning run. It’s a simple wooden frame with bobbles that I crocheted to represent the bulbs... and now I get to wake up to two sets of roses!
I made this frame with a couple 1x4 pieces of wood and drilled holes along the sides to weave in the warp (Everbilt cotton cord). I wedged a dowel in the middle of the frame to add stability -- the warp needs to be woven in pretty tightly, and the dowel kept the frame from sagging in the center due to the warp tension.
The weaving process is always messy! Here you can see some of the crocheted bobbles I made to represent flower bulbs
